It remains problematic how to interpret such a very small moult gap. Moreover since P9 has been dropped in the other wing. Will moult really be arrested soon, or will it continue at very low pace to finish this sequence (for whatever reason...)?

Just a few images. Today we (Ruud & Mars) had 23 colour rings and many more metal rings (but which we did not read). Nice resting flocks of about 2000 birds in total, icl ringed micha, ringed cach, Norway Gbbg, Norway Lbbg, Helgolang Lbbg and Dutch birds. Also one unringed adult fuscus fuscus (10 ol...

Yesterday, October 7, fishing trawlers close to the coast of Katwijk - Noordwijk. Resting-preening flocks on the beach from Katwijk - Zandvoort, flocks of several 100's together. For this strech of beach, many 1.000's must have been present. Including many juveniles and surprisingly many lbbg.

Shade of grey in this bird probably too dark to fit any of the candidates in the michahellis group... Unfortunately!

Right after returning from Scotland, we discussed a bird from Peterburgh. Repeated here: ... Chris Gibbins wrote: Hi gents.
