For those two LM gulls I had a consultation with our best Gull expert in Lithuania V.Pareigis (R.I.P.), fortunately he is not anymore with us to help with his very big knowledge and passion about gulls. So what he explain me then was the shape of the head, shorter bill, long legs, Iris...

From the photo you upload first I can see only the pink feet of the bird, but if this is the same bird for sure, I will have to agree is yellow-legged.

In my newbie opinion I can see an adult Herring Gull. Legs are pinkish, bill look quite massive and generally HG appearance.

Hello, We are observing good number of 1st year Herring gulls in Lithuania with right leg Yellow plastic rings HCxxx (HC342). Working on my archive I found the photo of this Gull, but it's look strange for me. The bird on first place has dark eye, short bill, short legs. The photo is taken at Zabieliskio landfill in central Lithuania. 30.03.2012
