Re: GBBG or HG?
Hi,
it is a Herring Gull.
The underwing coverts are too pale for GBBG, the pattern on scapulars and (upper)wing coverts appears too thin/delicate, and the pattern on inner primaries is not too good either.

Re: 4 birds: pure Caspians or...?!
Still... Kozielno is in the very south of Poland, close to the Czech border. If you check the breeding distribution of large gulls in Poland (see http://www.academia.edu/1056046/Neubauer_G._Zagalska-Neubauer_M._Gwiazda_R._Faber_M._Bukacinski_D._Betleja_J._Chylarecki_P._2006._Breeding_large_gulls_in_...

Re: 4 birds: pure Caspians or...?!
Perhaps we will learn more from the ringing data, but in any case such a tail pattern is well within the variation of Caspian Gull. So is the bill shape (which can be a lot stubbier, by the way). I have attached 4 different 1w Caspian Gulls from Georgia (January 2014), showing tail pattern. Note als...

Re: 4 birds: pure Caspians or...?!
The 4th set of photos are way too poor, but the other three birds look like normal Caspian Gulls to me. As a remarkable coincidence, I came across PNKA myself today! It was in the harbour of Oostende, Belgium: http://waarnemingen.be/waarneming/view/89245952 The flight shots reveal a normal pattern f...

Re: 3cy med gull x BHG?
I believe this bird is still within the variation seen in Med Gull, Lou. I have attached 5 different examples here, photographed in Boulogne (France) and in Belgium. The few hybrids that I have seen, have always shown the white leading edge to the outer wing of Black-headed Gull. MedGull_2s_Zandvlie...

Re: Questions of identification
For iris colour, see Gibbins et al (2010). An excerpt: " Eye colour varies enormously in cachinnans: Jonsson (1998) suggested that c. 75% of adult cachinnans appear 'medium- to dark-eyed' in the field, whereas Liebers& Dierschke (1997) found that 48% of birds in one Ukrainian colony and 62% in anoth...

Hi,
the second bird looks normal for (pure) cachinnans to me.

Hi,
to me, this looks like one of those "not really barabensis" types that seem to be present in the Middle East in small but significant numbers.
It is probably best to leave such birds unidentified.
Sorry to not be able to say more...
