Hello Rudd, no they do not appear to be common, but maybe we are over looking younger birds and there are more than we suspect ? Hello Mars. A selection of similar birds from Ireland. The extremely dark body wash and all dark bill of your bird is towards the extreme end for Iceland and makes for a very striking individual.
