exellent pic. as usual, (as others here as well)! Also showing cleaner grey inner and wider white-tipped primaries compared to the usual 2cy.

If the answer to your question Theo - should be a so called standard one, the gull looks like a 3cy type due to the rather large white tips to primaries, slight reddish spot on the gonys and the covert feature you mentioned. This Croation ringed YLG is a 3cy (altough from 20 Dec.), and quite similar...
