A new water storage (is that the right word?) has been created close to where I live. Although it has been dug only a few months ago, it's quite a popular roost for large gulls (and waders in increasing numbers). Total number of large gulls does not exceed 250 per day probably, but it's not bad when it's close enough to reach by bike in about five minutes. I'll post some pictures of interesting birds here.

Three YLGs tonight (which is not bad for a total of only about 50 large gulls!), plus an elegant fuscus-like juvenile LBBG. Which again shows that at this age even graellsii and fiscus are inseparable... Pictures are only so-so because it was late in the evening.

Nice group today but when the weather is OK, the light is straight in your face. This is an excuse for the poor quality of the pictures 
Ringed 1cy Mediterranean Gull from Germany, two Yellow-legged Gulls and two what I identified as hybrid Lesser Black-backed x Herring Gulls. Plus a juvenile -> first winter Black-headed Gull that showed an indication of a hood. I've never seen anything like that before.
