Last week I visited Boulogne and Le Portel in search of (colour-ringed) gulls. Unlike visits in the past, no Glaucous Gulls present (yet), but there were a few Yellow-legs. Hundreds of gulls at low tide in the morning, with a good number of ringed ones: 40 Mediterraneans (mainly Belgian and French, but also 1 from Germany and a few from Poland and Hongary), 9 Norwegian Greater Black-backeds, several Herrings (4 from Belgium, 3 from England, 3 from France and 1 Dutch bird), 2 French Black-headed Gulls, and 1 Dutch Lesser Black-backed.
