28.1.2012:
many Caspian Gulls, many Herring Gulls, two metalringed Black-headed Gulls, one metalringed Herring Gull and one colourringed Herring Gull from Finnland.

Highlight was an Iceland Gull, probably in 3rd cy which I found in a larger gull flock

hi armin,

that's a nice selection you have there. XLCP looks like a normal YLG but who knows..an offspring from that frankenstein colony could be anything (but i guess michahellis is in there and caspian is out).
this is a very short billed 2cy caspian download/file.php?id=2932
i currently upload all the january caspian pics from cristian, bucharest, here, if you're interested: http://lou.bertalan.de/gulls/m_newest.php

Hay Lou,
Steinhude can sometimes be a good place to photographing and studying gulls but now the Steinhuder Meer is frozen and all gulls sitting on the ice in more than 300m distance and not on the places were they sitting on normal days.

Thanks for your comment on XLCP.

A very interesting homepage!

Indeed, and it is not a Herring Gull but a Yellow-legged Gull.
