Yellow legged gull in a awful picture, or something else?

Post by Matteo » Thu Mar 10, 2016 9:18 am

Hello everybody
First of all, sorry for my english :)
I'd like to try to identificate this gull, that seemingly "greater" and "darker"
Sorry also for my awful pics, I'm famous in Italy for my horrible images... the gull was observed on 25th february 2016 in Italy, near Udine

Here you can find all the photos

And here a short video

It's only a yellow legged gull in a awful picture with the wrong perspective, or it's something else?

It's seems "larger", but I exclude Great black backed gull (and others "large gulls") for the absence of some fundamental characters ...

Studying only that bird without the contest of the picture (cutting the photo), and comparing it to a first winter/2cy yellow legged gull, I conclude that the plumage it's very similar, like this one

Anyway, thanks to everybody for any help!
And sorry again for my english and pictures! ;)
