Re: Italy, probable Heuglin's Gull 2ndS
Hi Menotti,
I have just come across your post and i remembered a gull i took pix of from earlier this year. I think my bird looks pretty much the same (except the leg color) as yours..
We (of course) couldn't ID it, so we agreed it's a graellsii/intermedius subspecies and that's all.
Pictures taken in Debrecen, Hungary on 28/04/2010.
I would appreciate if you guys would take a look at it.
Cheers,
Gabor Papp

Wouldn´t Gabors gull clinch quite well with the former one in this thread, a 3cy type (LBBG) heuglini with a mirror on p10 and location.

Re: Italy, probable Heuglin's Gull 2ndS
Hi guys,
thanks for the replies.i'm glad i took another look of the pictures of this particular bird.there aren't too many accepted records of heuglini in Hungary.
here are some more shots taken by Csaba Pasti on April 28th-29th 2010.
these may allow to compare to YLG and assess the lenght of the legs.
cheers,
Gabor
ps: any comments from Finland maybe?
