Gull south of Portugal

agree with Jan that this looks like a 3cy YLG but I think that Thijs was wondering about the very grey body of this bird? It happens from time to time, there has been a gull in Ireland (presumably a Herring) with the same kind of plumage. I have no idea what this kind of pigment-variant is called though.

Another 3cy type michahellis has been seen in tarifa, Spain ...showing grey body

judging by the pattern on the bill and moult stage (dropped p10 in later pics) this could easily be the same bird.

I forgot to mention that the tarifa Gull, was from Set 2008, pim!! ......

could have fooled me, and did! By the way Thijs, either the date in your camera is wrong or you took the first picture on 31 July, not August...
