Hi All,
I photographed this bird on 06/07/2010 at the dumpsite of Debrecen, Hungary (and my following posts will be from here too).
It was a hair bigger than all the other YLGs and the tertial/greater covert pattern caught my eyes. first it reminded me a 2nd year GBBG but i have no experience with the species and it's pretty rare in Hungary too, especially during the summer.
Any comments would be welcome.
Cheers,
Gabor Papp

Re: Michahellis?
I would say it's a somehow odd Yellow-legged Gull. In my humble opinion, the structure/jizz looks good for michahellis and it doesn't look good at all for marinus.

In my opinion, the pattern on the tail, wing and mantle fits better for GBBG. But I don 't have much experience with 2cy michahellis.
