Hybrid Herring x LBBG? Edinburgh

Post by Morg » Sat Apr 20, 2013 11:18 pm

I have seen three different birds at Seafield in Edinburgh recently that may be hybrid Herring x LBBG. Yellow-legged Gull is a rare description species in Scotland and I do not think that any of these birds are genuine YLG, but I have wondered whether any of them might have YLG parentage... Obviously it is probably unlikely that we could know, any comments would be appreciated. More pictures of each bird are on my blog at the link after each picture.

Many thanks in advance

Geoff
