eastern cach or barabensis

Post by marsmuusse » Sun Nov 30, 2014 12:11 am

What to do with birds that have a full subterminal band on P10, broad medial black band on P10, no mirror on P9, and loads of subterminal black (8 primaries showing this).
But seemingly a rather thin bill and flat head, not the rounded head as shown by many barabensis.
Pictures from Eilat.

Anyone some suggestion on the line between barabensis and eastern cachinnans?

How do we read the date under Avi´s pic of these two individuals?
Anyway, with such bright yellow legs and primary pattern I would search in the barabensis camp... ;)
