Hi!
Sorry, I don't get this...

This "Croatia 9" means that you have knowledge of 9 cach ringed in Croatia and found in NW Europe or 9 cach found in Croatia ringed in Poland or Ukraine?

cheers

The latter.
The number behind each country is the number of records we know of ringed cachinnans from Poland/ Ukrain in that country.
If the number should be higher, please help!!

Via this forum yes.
But I have the idea that in his eyes I said something wrong.
About a ring in Austria that looked different to me but I did explain that I was not conspicuous but purely interested...

Don´t worry about that .... ;)
2 things: I have a lot of stress now. And I have lost my local patch for large gulls, so I´m not so often in this forum.

Concerning ringed cachinnans: Since 2 years I have handed over my responsibility for "Austrian" gull rings to BirdLife Austria. So I think, I should not provide life lists and data of Austrian birds. There are much more than one ;)
I´ve checked my last list (spring 2011) and counted about 105 ringed cach´s and hybrids, most of them from Poland, several from Ukraine and few from Lithuania and Belarus, one from eastern Germany, most of these birds read by myself.
Last 2 winters some new ones have been read by different people, among them 2 birds from Slovakia (pullus ringed) and finally the only one which I personally could read this winter season was the first one from Hungary (2nd winter, pullus ringed)! In total around 120 birds for Austria...

Okay.
I am glad you are back and hope you will un-stress quickly!

About the cach-rings.
Is it possible that you ask them for a total list or......
When there is time for you, do you think you can help with this and pictures or ...

Cheers, THeo

The German summary shows NOT the high number of birds hatched in the mixed colonies in East-Germany and Poland.
