Breeding numbers of cachinnans in Germany

Post by Albert de Jong » Fri Dec 13, 2013 2:47 pm

Hello,

I am curious for the most recent number of breeding pairs of cachinnans in Germany. I couldn't find any up to date information on the web so far. Anybody?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe around 300, many of them in mixed pairs. The biggest colony is the Gräbendorf Lake near Altdöbern (Reddern).

Thank you very much, Ronald! Sounds like an ongoing, fast expansion from Poland into Germany.

Single CG individuals were located also in Baltic German Herring Gull colonies nowadays, but unknown if they breed there yet. Lets discuss about it in 20 years...
