Judging the non-adult feathers I think its a 3rd winter.
A 3rd winter without black on the bill is to say the least interesting.
Ever seen it before on michahellis or cachinnans??
Should we be thinking eastern to solve this?

Yes, a third winter (4cy) bird. I will check my photos with 4cy birds for the black spot on the bill. By the way, here are a lot of pics with Romanian Yellow-legged and Caspian Gulls:

theo,
it's a bit early in the year but adult bills without black marks are not unusual in spring, early summer 4cy. even 2nd summer (3cy) YLG can have totally adult bills. i have seen that in spain and in romania (may/june).
