Hello Mars.
A selection of similar birds from Ireland. The extremely dark body wash and all dark bill of your bird is towards the extreme end for Iceland and makes for a very striking individual. The wash on the primaries is mealy/spotted unlike the smooth wash on Kumliens and is typical of "coarse" type Icelands. The coarse tertials are also typical and would be unusual although not unknown on Kumliens. Interestingly we do not recieve "coarse" Icelands regularly every winter and they seem prone to influx years, why this is i am not sure?. Very nice bird but within range of Iceland on current knowledge.

Some great pic. by Hans!
In most of the 2cy (first cycle), birds the pale outer primaries contrast with darker inners (usually reversed in kumlieni if not pale winged glaucoides like individuals -

The ones with dark outer webs of outer outer primaries contrasting with pale inners might be good kumlieni candidates.
