Pale L. hyperboreus in Portugal

Post by Marian Cirnat » Sun Feb 16, 2014 10:05 am

Hello everyone,

The same day I took the pictures with the L. glaucoides I managed to take pictures of a few L. hyperborean that were also in Peniche, Portugal. Amongst them, there was quite a pale 1cy. How common is it to have such pale young birds in this time of year (08.02.2014)?

Thanks!

Several birds: 3cy L. hyperboreus, 1 ad L. marinus behind it, 1 adult L. hyperboreus behind to the left, 1 adult L. glaucoides in the background to the right of the cormorant.
