I was sent this photograph by Paul Holmes of an adult Herring Gull ssp taken at Felixstowe Ferry, Suffolk, England and we would both welcome comments on the racial identification. Especially mirror configuration to the primaries, eye colour and bill.

Hi Paul, any shots of the open wing? Or a shot of the preening bird where you can see if black on outerwebs of P8-P10 runs up to the primary coverts on these feathers?
