Head shape Herring Gull

HI all
As a novice larophile I have been searching (so far without success!) for Cach and Mich at my local Landfill site on the UK East coast. I had this long headed HG on 24th Feb which suggested Cach to my inexperienced eye but I guess the head is too dark and plumage details all wrong for Cach. Is it just a 2Cy argenteus/tatus? I look forward to some expert input!
