another very nice set, showing much of underwing pattern variation, gabor. two thayeri-types, one of which also has restricted black on p5 (only on outer web). another one with restricted p5 is in pic 27. among your pics, this reflects about the percentage of birds with thayeri-pattern and restricted p5 mark i observe in the danube delta.
and especially intersting again are the two 3rd cycle types: pic 31 with large mirrors but a solid p4 mark and pic 34 another one with restricted white in wingtip (small p10 mirror only, short tongues).
pic 32 show a 2nd cycle, imo, not too dissimilar to the retarded 3rd cycle in your other post. note its pale getting iris!

Thanks Lou!

It might be worth to mention that among them there were two ringed birds, one from Poland and the other one from Ukraine (aluminium ring).
I will upload later on some shots of gruop of sitting birds if you are interested in them.

Cheers,

Gabor

groups are always interesting as you can compare birds, esp. in 1st and 2nd cycles. i'm looking forward to them.
