This Viking gull type was photographed by Alex Máni on the 17th of January 2018. While the underparts is uniform, the velvety texture of the plumage differs from american herring gull (glaucous gull trait). While the upper tail coverts/rump is heavily barred (as is often for vikings), and the reasonably black in tail (apart from the outermost tail feathers), the inner primary window is large, and the secondaries pale.
