This herring gull was photographed by Stefán Áki Ragnarsson on the 14th of November 2017, taken in low light (just around sunset). This is an example of an herring gull with relatively black tail feathers, quite barred upper tail coverts/rump, black in the distal secondaries and relatively inconspicuous inner primary window. All other features suggest European herring gull, e.g. the coarse underparts and the bill.
