retarded plumage

Hi,

Something from Oostende, Belgium, today.
has anyone else ever seen a 3rd-cycle Lesser Black-backed with plumage like this? Note dark shaft streaks on scapulars!

So, the answer is no, these shaft streaks are rare in 3rd winter lbbg.
