Hello,
today lots of BHG feeding at the compost dump in Wörth / Lower Austria. Also some late large gulls, most of them Caspian.
But then I spotted the first LBBG this year. Yes, the fuscus section looks great, but just for that spring months there is a lack of pictures (they have left Israel and not arrived in Finland )
But I think this bird must be a 2cy Baltic gull (fuscus)?
Sorry for the picture´s quality, the distance was too high for my 300mm lens, I should buy a better one (a white 400mm)...
fuscus - they move back...

Can't really tell if the primaries have been renewed? This is, as far as I know, one of the few as yet undisputed characters for 2cy fuscus.

If this was the same bird today (I´m not sure) - then it should be a pale mantled bird, probably from Norway?
