There's not much going on here lately so here are a few pix from IJmuiden beach. Small groups of mainly (sub)adult LBBGs and immature GBBGs. The latter were represented with a surprisingly high number of ringed birds (five Norwegian black rings), but generally rather unapproachable. Maybe Phillipe should consider changing his colour scheme one day because those yellow on red French rings are always hard to read!

Checked the beach at Heemskerk a few km up north in the evening. A few groups but hardly any rings...

And my first 2cy fuscus for this year. Quite tricky to age but note fresh primaries (often more worn in 3cy), subdued colours of bare parts (often more vividly coloured in 3cy) and especially the fresh second generation tail (record shot shows complete tail bair; in the field rectrices still showed white fringes). This in combination of course with size, shape and blackish scapulars and coverts.
