Why Ohhh why?! Why is it, that in a resting group off Lbbg-Hg-Gbbg, quite and nicely sleeping birds, preening birds, totally relaxed birds, why is it that one single bird always flies away, always without any good reason? Why is this always a ringed bird of which I didn't read the entire code? Why did I arrive (appararently!) 2 minutes too late?
Well, you may guess, today a yellow ring C.xxx from Finland on the Ijmuiden beach. I started scanning the group from right to left, it was the last-but-one bird, and I've seen the ring about 4.37 seconds. And probably it is C.XR8, but probably is probably not enough.
Anyway, it was nice again, with cachinnans (2cy), michahellis (7), ringed HG (locals and 1 from Norway, Vest-Agder of course, unfortunately ringed as 4cy this year), and local and Norwegian ringed Lbbg.

Fuscus enlarged. Metal ring left leg, colour ring on the wrong leg, of course...
