Hello,
I did this poor photo on 27. December in Czech Rep.. Is it just a bit strange argentatus, or it should be an American Herring Gull in second winter?

I did new photos yesterday with piece of bar tail from upper side, and whole bar from under side. Now I think it is clean marinus, or no?

Hello, L. cachinnans is the most common big gull in my neighborhood. In this time, in this age (after first winter) is typical cachinnans more free - coloured (white head, grey scapulars, brown coverts). Moreover coverts on your bird have strong pattern and typical cachinnans has coverts like "wash"...

please, can you help me with identification of this gull. I think it is l. marinus. But I cannot exclude l. artentatus, because the tail bar during fly, wasnt typically diffuse (if I saw it good in short time).

what do you think about this strange gull. May be, it is just caspian gulls, but for me very atypic. This photos I made on July 21 this year in Czech Republic, Ostrava city.
