Lesser BBG fuscus?
Mars already gave his opinion about this bird on the waarneming.nl-forum (thanks), but maybe there are more suggestions concerning the 2CY Lesser Black-backed Gull attached. Picture is taken 16-7 in Groningen, The Netherlands, and shows a very advanced LBBG, with apparently all feathers changed at l...

Another caspian-ish adult
What do you think about the bird behind the links below? Initially I thought it was a good and pure adult cachinnans, albeit a bulky one. The next day, however, when I saw the bird in flight, I could hardly find any marking on P5 (though it was there), and P10 neither looked too convincing. In such ...

Re: ad cach from Romania, May 2009
It's rather tricky to judge the shape of the tongue from this picture, taken from this angle. I'm afraid that the ring, and therefor the bird, might be from Polish origin. I can hardly believe this bird to be a pure argentatus, despite the fact that the primary-pattern might point in that direction ...

Re: ad cach from Romania, May 2009
This is all I've got. And again, no sign of any marking on P5.

Caspian-like gull
Last weekend I saw this adult gull in Groningen, The Netherland, and it left me rather puzzled. At first glimpse it looks like a cachinnans: long-winged, dark-eyed, with a rather thin bill and yellowish legs. The pattern on the bill is not really tipical, but what confuses me the most is the pattern...

Re: ad cach from Romania, May 2009
About cachinnans and the dark markings op P5: what do you think about the bird I saw yesterday in Groningen, The Netherlands? Looks like a perfect cach to me (unfortunately I wasn't able to read the code on the ring), however, the bird seems to lack any markings on P5. I'm very interested to know yo...

Re: Micha?
Thanks, the tail is something I should have noticed; it doesn't fit GBBG at all. In other aspects, this is for me an instructive bird that broadens my views on 2cy Micha (as did another rather slowly moulting 2cy I found in Groningen recently, check www.pbase.com/martijnbot/recent for pics).

Micha?
I already posted this bird on the waarneming.nl-forum, but apparently there was no one present with a satisfying answer. I'll have a re-try here. Some two weeks ago I saw this 2CY Gull in Groningen, Netherlands, and it confused me a little. My first thought was a michahellis, but both the pattern on...
