Yesterday was seen this gull in the Manzanares river, in Madrid city.
The picture was made by Mercedes Fernandez.
We belive that can be one Larus argentatus argentatus, but we are not sure.
Any opinion?

Thank Ruud,
This it was my first impression when I saw her, but I had doubts later on having looked at the photo.

Is this one Herring Gull of second winter?
Our friend Óscar Frías sigthed this gull at 05-03-10 in Talavera de la Reina, Toledo, Spain.
We do not know which is the species.
It seems that the gray feathers of the mantle are not so dark as show off to be in the photos.
We think that it can be a herring gull, but we have doubts.
Some suggestion?

Yellow legged gull second winter or Herring Gull 3 winter?
When I saw this gull I annotated YLG of second winter, but now I have seen that your legs are pink.
Too, I belive that has the terminal band of the wide and white tail, in YLG would be totally black.
Is possible that was one HG of third winter?. I am not sure.
Some suggestion?
