Many adults on the move with their fledged youngs. Hard to tell if this has been a good breeding year here in Holland; I heard some bad news from Scandinavia and N Germany. Nonetheless, it was a good day again at Katwijk, with fresh 1cy marinus, 2cy cach, ringed adult micha, ringed Lessies. It was also good day to take pictures of flying Herrings and Lessies in all plumages, to add to the 'comparison pages'.

And again Katwijk on 22 August, it's only 10 minutes driving and it was fun, so tried again... We still see LBBG adults with P1 old.

Been at Katwijk again 27 August 2012. Belgian ring "Gérard". And Swiss 1cy micha, reported previously (2 weeks ago) 250 km NE in Groningne, now at Katwijk beach.
