Bird 4: I find this hard to judge on a standing bird like this, holding its tail closed. It makes it difficult to see if the pale colour is part of the tail or part of the undertail coverts (which can sometimes be fluffed up to or around the tail edge).
Bird 5: Note that this is a 1st-cycle bird. I do not know what you mean by the "unwanted pattern of the tail feathers" ? Tail looks all dark to me, as far as it can be judged in this position.

Sorry, the pattern of the undertail-feathers, being big and black instead of coarsely and close together.
