Gull ID in Denmark

A few days ago a friend of mine took these photos and read the colour ring: red ring with white inscription CJH 61.

I think I see a LBBG, but then again. If not looking at the moult, there is also some YLG about it. What do you see?

We have not yet received any info on the ring. Who uses these red rings with white inscription?

All the best

Kent

This should be a Baltic Gull from Finland, I think?

Probably a LBBG alright. However, With those inner primaries and probably tail pattern I would hesitate to vote Baltic.

it's a herring gull for me. does not have long blackish primaries of a baltic gull and i don't think baltic gull ever shows that much pale in inner primaries. it might stem from the eastern baltic: long wings (for a herring) and micha-like GC-pattern as well as darker outer webs of p1-5 as expected in a normal tatus. such HG with an "extreme" micha tail pattern seem to occure most regularly in (eastern?) baltic populations, from pics and birds i saw on gotland.
