YLG?

I've got some doubts about this gull's ID. Although it shows some YLG characteristics its feet seem rather pale ,lighter and with a yellowish tone compared to the herring gulls of the same age- but the picture doesn't seem to show this in a right way- and a lot paler compared to the YLG in the background. It also has some distinct streaking in the neck. Is this possible on YLG or is this just some odd looking HG? I'm still busy on the metal ring, but any comments are appreciated as I'm a novice to gull identification.

A detailled shot of the ring, sadly I don't have any shots of the other side.

Many thanks! Any good advice on how you can retrieve the origin of a bird based on such a partial ring code?

regards,

Jan

Is Switzerland the only country using clip rings on YLGs?

Hi Ruud and all:
I saw an Italian RED IHXV michahellis (in the fantastic web crb- photoguide from our italian friends Marco Basso, Adriano Talamelli and Adriano di Faveri) and Some Cachinnnans from Lithuania, Ukrania and Poland (A nice pic from our friend Ies)
