I took this pictures on Dicember 2nd. in Madrid.
Is a large gull compared with the LBBG.

I cannot see any features of an "Eastern" specimen. Why doesn`t be a late hatched michahellis? Note also tail-band, bill-shape and tertials.

i'd agree on this: looks like a large male graellsii type to me.
