mongolicus-like gull

On 28.1.13 in Western France (landfill site in Maine-et-Loire département), that gull with michahellis-like mantle, dark iris, yellowish-pink legs, fine head streakings, small mirror on P10... (Not seen in flight) :

Hi Alain,
Note that the greater primary coverts show extensive dark on the centres, indication for immaturity. Some of the features you mention might well be related to its age. This makes it difficult to fully exclude michahellis...

Yes I agree but the unusually dark iris gives an odd look, I don't remember such a dark iris in our local michahellis.
