In Denmark we have a gull which has been returning to our local harbour for several years. Originally thought to be a graelsii or “Dutch intergrade”, but as the legs are at their most only slightly yellow I have a nagging feeling that it may be a hybrid.

It is wearing a metal ring, but we have not been able to read it. I have no experience with LBBG x Herring Gull, but what do you think of this bird - LBBG or hybrid?

The double moult wave in the september pictures is interesting.
P10 does show a small mirror and p9 seems to miss a mirror.
This combination does not suite a hybrid between graellsii and argentatus I think.
The upperpart colour should point to graellsii / dutch intergrade albeit not a normal one.

i don't have any personal experience with these hybrids but to me it looks very like one. why is a lacking p9 mirror indicative of pure graellsii versus a hybrid, theo?
flesh coloured legs and somewhat large tertial crescents to me look very hybridish.
