The photo was sent to me when reporting a possible hybrid argentatus x cachinnans with Lithuanian ring from Lake Kretuonas. This bird is one of 100 unable to fly chicks and 5 adult birds ringed with YELLOW plastic rings in a mixed colony of Larus argentatus and Larus cachinnans in Kretuonas lake island (the eastern part of Lithuania) in 2009. Although named cachinnans on the photo it may very well be a hybrid. Like with Belorussia birds they are simply named Larus argentatus group. I believe there are only 11 official records of Caspian Gull in Estonia
and no breeders.
