an interesting retarded case with mostly immature coverts, dark patterned 2gen inner primaries (venetian blind like in 1st winters) and a plain dark gc-bar. steve suggests a hybrid with argentatus. note very pale underwing, dark upperwing (with p10 mirrors) and well marked upper- and undertail coverts.

For my impression it is a pure Caspian. Note also the diagnostic Albatros-posture.

On structure with good legs, hp10 mirror, underwing and flatish back it looks good for cachinnans. The only feature that might seem strange or unsususl for a 3cy cachinnans is the wing pattern, with the first generation looking inne primaries, which should by this time look differently patterned, the heavily marked central undertail and uppertail coverts.
