An example of a 1cy Caspian Gull with heavily patterned upper tail an rump and dark brown underwings from Denmark 30/12/2010.

hi kent,

now this one looks really hybridish. it has some caspian in it but many things point to at least f1 or f2 parentage of argnetatus: dark markings on uppertail coverts are very coarse and dark subterminal bltches on inner primaries accentuated as in HG. and legs are short and thick. so, even if we don't really know it most things point to a hybrid.
