Seen today at Wörth/Austria: a 5cy Caspian Gull with metalring on each tarsus! Although I did a lot of pictures, it was not possible to read the rings - too far away...
In field I thought of Polish rings, but now it looks good for Ukraine. Or Lithuania?

Distance was about 25m. I had hoped to manage it with my 500mm lens, but the only chance would have been to drive home for my digiscoping eqipment...Theo Muusse wrote:Double chance to read it! I would vote for Ukrain....
Now this bird will be further north, these are gulls migrating to northern directions coming from southern destinations. Before that I haven´t seen any large gulls since early January. Very poor winter season after good start with 6 c-ringed gulls from Ukraine and the one from Volga river.
You are right, it will be from Ukraine. Polish rings and such from Lithuania as well would be fitted narrower on the leg. Inscription design points also to Ukraine.
