During a short visit on Dambovita river (together with an Irish birder) I spotted a few Yellow-legged Gulls. Here are some shots (in the first two pics it's the same bird):

as ies mentioned here: http://www.birdforum.net/showpost.php?p ... count=1564 this one (same bird)
http://www.birdforum.net/attachment.php ... 1289568025 and http://www.birdforum.net/attachment.php ... 1289625749
is most likely a retarded 4cy with only a few black smudges on PC, rel large apical spots and assymmetric p9 - left with a tiny mirror, right apparently with none.

more interesting is the rel. large p9 mirror in this 3cy: http://www.birdforum.net/attachment.php ... 1289626010
has anybody a pic of a 3rd cycle micha with a similarly large p9 mirror??? it's not the first 3rd cycle micha with p9 mirror but i can't remember having seen one with such a big one. could this be one with cachi genes?...another trait would be the well pigmented iris. or could it be a very retarded 4th cycle? among cristian's pics i have found quite some presumed 4th cycle michas with large p9 mirrors, much larger than this one, but without rings it is hard to totally exclude advanced 3rd cycle birds among them. all with dark on PC, one with dark bill.

do you have more pics with this bird, cristian?

Hi Lou,

I will check my pics from November 7th, but, if there are more pics with this bird, I don't think that I'll find better quality ones...
