Landfill site in Central part of Lithuania

Hello first to all, very happy to became a member of this forum, I am interested in gulls only since 2010, but I'm a quick learner so I hope with your support I will improve my Gull ID skills. So I start this topic specially for the area that I am making research for my Bachelor degree. It is very good area, has a pool just next to it, so its attracting gulls not only in winter, but also in all other seasons including breeding. I start observing the "Zabieliškis" Landfill in early spring in 2011 and since then I am making surveys as often as possible I had observe at the site L.canus, Chr.ridibundus, L.melanocephalus, L.michahelis, L.cachinnans, L.argentatus, L.fuscus (L.f. fuscus, L.f.graelsii) and L.marinus. Only Mediterranean and Greater Black-backed gull were never found ringed YET, at the landfill. OK this is shortly about the site. I will put some photos later today or tomorrow. Cheers,

Hi, Boris, it's a pleasure to meet here a neighbour. I live in Minsk. probably you made a mistake about Mediterranean gull = L. melanocephalus, but you have written that have seen the second but not the first one))) Do you have pictures of L. michahelis in Lithuania? It's interesting to see that species as it's still not recorded for Belarus. Your pictures are very good!

Yes, thanks, I see it was my mistake. Dear Boris, why do you think it is a michahelis on your picture? We have some birds like this I think. As you are more experienced in gulls than me can you tell what birds are here? Especially N4

Hi Alexandre.
For those two LM gulls I had a consultation with our best Gull expert in Lithuania V.Pareigis (R.I.P.), fortunately he is not anymore with us to help with his very big knowledge and passion about gulls. So what he explain me then was the shape of the head, shorter bill, long legs, Iris was much darker and had very bright eye-ring and (dark yellow) legs (in adults) and typical marking on the bill (in the young gulls).
Nr 4 for me is LA gull with yellow legs which is typical for the area and is quite common in Lithuania as well. But the iris is as in typical LA. Legs are with short tibia.
So if you want me to comment the other photos please let me know.

Please tell me your opinion about other pictures as well with argumentation if you identify them in different way. It was actually my primary intention to place pics here for expert advice but the forum is not very alive or people afraid/do not have time to comment anything. But the bird N4 has white head in December, is it possible for LA?
