Broken tail band on lbbg

At my local and regular gull site this lbbg with broken tail band was present, a very small bird with short legs.

Another lbbg present that day that confused me, can anyone explains what am I seeing regarding moult!!!!!! 1 or 2 cy ?

It still is a 1cy LBBG, albeit with largely replaced wing-covert panel. This sometimes happens, already as early as within the colony. We did some research a few years ago to explain this phenomenon; have a look at the 1cy May, June, July sections of ORG:

Sorry for the late reply Mars,... very elucidating video!!!! more of those were welcome regarding moult of the various large white Gulls.
