Amir has send me several images of michahellis from Israel.

They breed in the Zool Garden of the Tel Aviv University. One of the breeding pairs has a very dark eyed female (both irides), and high stubby bill. The eggs in this nest were obviously small. Could armenicus be involved??? Or just an odd female michahellis?
