The section on Larus marinus has been updated with many more pictures (now over 300 birds). Jean-Michel Sauvage, living at Boulogne-sur-Mer (everyone ever been there, wants to go back) will coordinate this section, together with Nils Helge Lorentzen "Mister J-ring" from Norway.
Anyone with (links to) nice images of colour-ringed birds and who likes to share these images, please feel free to send them to us.

Bringing your young kids to watch gulls can be dangerous!

Many more images now added to the marinus section; a tremndous Thank Yououou to Jean-Michel! Also added: tables and graphs of scapular moult in 1cy marinus throughout the months.
In NW Europe, it seems complete moult may be quite advanced in marinus, and scores of primary moult are ahead of other taxa, even ahead of 2cy michahellis. I'll continue to add more tables and graphs into these 2cy sections somewhere next months.
Also added: the sequence of moult development in tertials and wing-coverts in 1cy - 2cy marinus: http://gull-research.org/gbbg/2cyjan.html
