Herring Gull 1cy - paler end

Scattered over several sites you'll find birds which resemble hyperboreus in some degree. But it's fun to speculate which birds could still be regarded 'argentatus at the paler end of the spectrum (apes)'. One feature that should be present in presumed hybrids is a bicoloured bill to some extent I would suggest, something not visible in the bird below, which therefore may well be an 'ape(s)'.
Pictures today at IJmuiden.

In addition to Marsh Herring Gull with a bi-coloured bill and other features have a look at these Florida gulls - with comments on ID-Frontiers:

Re: Herring Gull 1cy - paler end
Today at Westkapelle there were at least three gulls that were on the paler end of the spectrum. Three pics of the same individual, one of the nicest I've seen this year.

Re: Herring Gull 1cy - paler end
This one looks pale to me. Or could it be something else?
