Anybody who considers this kind of bird as common?
Taken today, a very worn and active moulting bird, well over the local Dutch and Belgium borns.
Caspian belly, contrasting patterns, brown colour..

Re: origin of a 1cy
wel, maybe somewhere between croatia and spain? although i'd expect in the 'average' early hatching mich to show more 2nd gen scaps and perhaps some new MC as well.
Re: origin of a 1cy
Not so dissimilar to some of our local Herrings in southeast Sweden at this time of yearTheo, and I suppose some argenteus as well.
I suppose, however, that YLG is the bird in question here.

If you refer to my YLG question (forgot to put a question mark) Theo, it´s not mine. I belive it´s a Herring.Theo Muusse wrote:The very belated moult, short bill for a male, scaps pattern new and old, short wing, are you sure?

I was suddenly under the impression that YLG was being considered.
