Yesterday torrential rains, hail and stormy winds along the coast, exactly together with high tide. Today the weather was slightly more friendly and I visited the beach (or what was left of it) to find many 'hanging gulls'. Endlessly patrolling the shores, hardly coming down on bread. Several still in active primary moult, P9 and P10 growing, dark birds obviously from N Scandinavia. Here an example bird, typically showing only limited black in the wingtip.
